I really like Spandau Ballet. I did spend a good chuck of my childhood dancing to Gold in bad nightclubs but they're far from one-hit wonders.
This 1981 single, 'Chant No. 1 (I Don't Need This Pressure On)', is totally representative of the best bits of their sound - the white-boy funk, the synth-led rhythm and brass section all help to drive the track on but the sense of melody underpinning the whole track make it totally accessible.
